UPI transactions saw a 34.5% increase in value to Rs 122 lakh crore and a 46% increase in volume to 8,566.52 crore in the April-September period, despite reporting 6.32 lakh fraud cases worth Rs 485 crore. To combat fraud, authorities have implemented measures like device binding, two-factor authentication, and daily transaction limits.
