Ashok Leyland's Q2 results showed a 37% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹770 crore, beating estimates, despite a 9% decline in revenue to ₹8769 crore. Operating margin rose 40 basis points to 11.6%, and the company declared an interim dividend of ₹2 per share. Ashok Leyland's shares rose 1.42% to ₹218.96 following the announcement.

State Bank of India Ltd on November 8 reported 28% jump in net profit at Rs 18,331 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024. The PSU lender had reported net profit of Rs 14,330 crore in the year-ago period. The bank said its board has given approval for raising long term bonds worth up to Rs 20,000 crore through a public issue or private placement during FY25.
