French aviation training company Simaero said India will need to double its flight simulator training centres by 2030 to cater to the growing demand for pilots as domestic airlines are set to take delivery of over 1,000 new aircraft over the next decade. Simaero India will open its first center in Gurugram by March 2025, aiming to train 6,000 pilots annually by 2027.
