SpiceJet flies 4% lower in trade after reports of job-cut plans

SpiceJet shares dropped 4% due to a reported workforce reduction of 10-15% in order to save about Rs 100 crore. The airline is implementing other cost-saving measures and could lay off approximately 1,400 employees. This is necessary to bring costs in line with the airline's operations, which have been severely impacted by the pandemic. The airline currently operates 30 instead of 118 planes.
