The money raised through the initial public offering will primarily support new solar and wind projects, with an aim to achieve a commissioned capacity of 19,000 MW by 2026-27 (FY27), says NTPC and NTPC Green Energy CMD Gurdeep Singh. NTPC also plans to expand its renewable capacity to 60 GW by 2032 while optimising funding costs through its robust credit ratings.
