Karnataka HC issues guidelines to prevent unauthorized constructions

United Phosphorous and its chairman Jaidev Shroff have settled with market regulator Sebi for alleged fraudulent and unfair trade practices, paying ₹20.2 crore as settlement amount. Sebi had accused them of misrepresenting truth and concealing material facts, using overseas bank accounts to trade in its own shares, and making wrongful gains of ₹4.2 crore.

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is auctioning 23 premium commercial units at the Gomti Nagar Commercial Complex in Lucknow, with bidding open from October 9 to November 12, 2024, and the e-auction scheduled for November 12. After giving citizens more than six months to clear their property tax dues with the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme, BBMP has started a special drive to seal properties with dues.
