Kalyan Jewellers shares fall 8% amid Motilal Oswal bribery rumours

In the highly volatile session on January 21, the Nifty50 index lost more than a percent, dragging the index below 23,000, intraday, for the first time since June 7, 2024 as investors remained caution after Donald Trump announced tariffs plans on neighbouring countries. The index failed to build on the opening gains to close down 320.10 points or 1.37% at 23,024.65, forming large bearish candle.

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 series at its Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled to be held on January 22. Samsung is expected to launch four new models including the mighty Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 slim, which is a first from the Galaxy S line-up. There are rumours that it will take some time for the Galaxy S25 Slim to hit the shelves.

France’s first syndicated bond sale in about eight months met a flood of investor demand as the new government attempts to muster enough support to pass a much-needed budget. Orders for the new note maturing in 2042 blasted past €100 billion ($104 billion), potentially a record. Tuesday’s offering will price at eight basis points over comparable bonds, according to people familiar with the matter.
