India aims to produce 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030, reducing fossil fuel imports by $12.5 billion, and creating 600,000 jobs, as part of its National Green Hydrogen Mission. This effort seeks to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors like steelmaking and oil refining, and transition towards a low-carbon fuel source.
