Stock markets rallied more than 1% on Wednesday with benchmark Sensex soaring 901 points amid Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential polls. Stocks that were in focus include names like 📌Tata Steel, which rose 1%, 📌Apollo Hospitals, which was flat, and 📌Delta Corp, whose shares jumped nearly 1.6% on Wednesday.

Power Grid's consolidated net profit remained flat at Rs 3,793 crore in Q2 2024, with revenue from operations also flat at Rs 11,278 crore. The board approved a first interim dividend of Rs 4.50 per equity share, while total expenses increased and EBITDA declined by 2.1%. Power Grid's shares closed 0.55% higher at Rs 318.45 on the BSE.

World Bank arm International Finance Corporation (IFC) has agreed to provide a $400 million loan to Bajaj Finance to on-lend to customers opting to buy electric vehicles (EV) and strengthen its presence in the energy-efficient consumer goods space, said a joint statement issued by them. The loans will be for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers.
