Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has announced a recall of more than 3.31 lakh bottles of Cinacalcet tablets sold in the US. These tablets are used to treat high calcium levels and hyperparathyroidism. The recall is due to manufacturing problems that violate current good manufacturing practices (CGMP). The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported that these tablets contain impurities.
