The finance ministry has received a recommendation from the petroleum ministry to bring natural gas in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) ambit as part of ongoing efforts to streamline the country’s tax structure, a government source told Moneycontrol. The finance ministry is evaluating the proposal and also considering the relevance of levying a windfall tax on oil and gas companies, sources said.

Shares of 📌Adani Energy Solutions hit their 10% upper circuit at Rs 727.35 and that of 📌Adani Total Gas surged 19% to its day’s high of Rs 726 on the BSE today amid a rebound in the group stocks after a clarification on the US Bribery issue. Alongside of the stock, the shares of 📌Adani Green Energy too, hit their 10% upper circuit.

Tilaknagar Industries Ltd (TI), a brandy company, announced the launch of Monarch Legacy Edition, its first foray into the luxury brandy segment. At 11:30 am on Novemnber 28, the company's shares were trading 2.6% higher at Rs 422 apiece. In the last one month, the IMFL company's shares surged an impressive 53%. Its market capitalisation is Rs 7,700 crore.
