The Indian cabinet's decision to waive bank guarantee requirements for telecom operators on spectrum purchased before 2022 will significantly reduce their financial burden, freeing up capital and enhancing cash flow, according to the Cellular Operators Association of India. The move is expected to benefit companies like Vodafone Idea, which owes over Rs 24,700 crore in bank guarantees.
