Adani Wilmar said to defer stake sale amid US bribery charges

Adani Enterprises Ltd. and Wilmar International Ltd. are considering delaying a proposed sale of at least 12% in their Indian food venture after a US bribery indictment against the billionaire-founder Gautam Adani, according to people familiar with the matter. Adani Wilmar Ltd., an equal joint venture between India’s Adani Group and the Singapore-based commodity trader, was slated to start.

Q2 FDI inflows rose 43% year on year to $13.6 billion

FDI equity inflows into India rose 43.1% on-year to $13.6 billion in July-September this fiscal, data released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) Friday showed. FDI inflows were $9.5 billion in the year ago period. Total FDI, which includes equity inflows, reinvested earnings and other capital, grew 29.4% on-year to $19.8 billion in the second quarter of FY25.
