RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said on November 6 that the regulator is no hurry to formally launch the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), even as the pilot program has shown significant progress in both retail and wholesale segments. Calling the CBDC pilot still in the 'experimental stage', Shaktikanta Das said the central bank is still on the learning curve.

China's yuan weakened and stock markets on the mainland and Hong Kong fell on Wednesday, as investors leaned toward the return of Donald Trump as president even as preliminary counting in the U.S. election still showed a tight presidential race. eClerx Services Ltd. shares surged to a record high, gaining 7% after reporting strong September quarter results, with 5.9% USD revenue growth and a 22% EBIT margin increase. Net profit jumped to ₹139.5 crore, and new deal wins rose 8.2% from the previous quarter. Shares are up 27.5% in 2024, following a 103% gain in 2023.
